Have you ever seen the show " The Good Doctor"? I only ask because it sounds like something the main character ( a doctor with high functioning autism) would do. A man totally lacking social skills and how to take behavioral hints or normal social behavior. Someone who genuinely means no harm and just doesn't know how to" read the room".
Then again, he may just be a crackpot who thinks it's okay to touch a lady's breast's and try to force his hugs upon neighbors. Hopefully this dinosaur has disappeared for good!
I pondered the same questions. He seemed so surprised when I said he couldn’t come in. But, I was so proud of myself for protecting myself. Setting new boundaries at this age is difficult. People in my life don’t like it and try to push me back. It’s painful.
Totally agree with you. And , yes, setting boundaries is especially difficult when other people aren't used to you protecting your emotions , your space and your time. Keep pushing back and good job with telling the dinosaur to get lost!
Joyce, your comment was so helpful. I believe he is on the autism spectrum which changes the perception. Other comments may have led to him being identified. Amazing what a substack post can do.
Most likely, he's a perv pretending to be shocked that he can't do the thing he isn't supposed to do so that he can get away with doing the thing.
The Good Doctor is fiction. And that character would never do that. He would get "don't touch people's breasts" something a pysical therapist never has to do.
Holy sh$t! I'm sorry this happened. Sometimes, "predators" do this to see how much they can get away with, to see how accommodating you might be. For example, he might rub your shoulders and say, " You are stressed," then ask about your mammograms, and then, the next step, come to your house and try to cross more boundaries. Women are taught to be "nice" and not say anything. I'm glad you are o.k. and called the police. Keep sticking with the boundaries. Folks will get used to it.
Soooo... living with a family as their physical therapist? That's new. I'd be worried about the family he was supposedly living with. So sorry that happened to you. How scary!
A protective order? Well, that will solve everything. He'll never harass anyone again. For pete's sake! Since you had a photograph of him from the door camera, didn't she at least advise any other action ... like ... or IDK, arrest for attempted assault. He was entering your home uninvited and touching you, pulling you towards him. Dang! He's gotten away with that far too long.
So, he doesn't live in the area as he said he did. That makes him even more dangerous, especially if he targets 55+ communities with lots of single women. I'll bet others will ID him too and come forward as victims where he managed to get more out of them. Creepy and disgusting. I'm so glad you were able to get him out of your house.
Oh, Wendy, that's so horrible that happened to you. Oh, my, oh my. Good for you for calling the authorities and I hope they find him and hold him accountable somehow. How brave you are. I hope you're able to file a protective order against him. Thank you for sharing this incident. It encourages me to always be aware.

Good insight

Thanks so much for your support. 🦕
Good grief, what audacity this guy has!
Shocking and scary.

How worrying Wendy, good for you for reporting it. Sending love 💕
Oh, what an arsehole. Really hope you never see them again!

The police were here again today since one of my readers identified him. All those options were mentioned. We just have to find him first. 🤞

The next time a man touches your breasts shout out to”don’t touch me” and walk quickly away. Draw attention to him to your neighbors.

It was all embarrassing to admit but my message is for women to be aware. Thanks for getting my message.
There is absolutely nothing for you to be embarrassed about but this guy should be moritified. And arrested.
So creepy!
Sooo creepy.
YIKES! I'm glad to hear you didn't let him in your house.
Good lord! What brazen effrontery. He must be mental to pull such crap.
